Many structures across the galaxy are currently serving purposes that they were not originally intended for. A great example of that is the Communications Outpost. Originally designed as a vendor stand, it has been converted with a large communication array in its roof, yet can still be dressed up to be quite inconspicuous. 

The model features large open doorways once assembled to provide open space for units to hide in. Easy access to the large open roof is granted via ladders alongside the outside walls. The roof is removable to allow players to move units inside easily.
